We have been coming to The Chequers for years. The staff are so friendly and always welcoming. The service is fantastic, prompt with the waiting staff knowledgable about the menus. The atmosphere is excellent and has a feel good feeling that is why we always come back. The food is very good and they have lunchtime specials on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.There is a great choice of drinks and good wine list.

The starter came out at the same time as the pre dinner nibbles. Aside from this, the food was excellent, the service was very good, and the various dining areas will suit any and every occasion. I went for late lunch, and I will definitely be going back for more. The pork crackling with apple sauce is a must.

Nice venue with a great outdoor terrace They had live music and was pleasant experience. Food is good and good selection of cocktails. Service is good with friendly staff and welcoming.
